How custody actually works here

Real architecture, described plainly — encrypted key management, a human-reviewed withdrawal gate, and individually revocable sessions.

Encrypted key management

A single master seed derives a unique deposit address per client, per asset, using standard hierarchical-deterministic wallet derivation. That seed is never stored in plain text — it's protected with AES-256-GCM authenticated envelope encryption, with the encryption key held separately from the encrypted data itself.

15Chains, one derivation scheme
100%Withdrawals held for review
Ledger accounting

Every deposit, withdrawal, and admin action is recorded as a double-entry ledger transaction — append-only, so no past entry is ever silently altered.

Session-level security

See every device signed in to your account and revoke any one individually — a real, working control, described in full on our Trust & Security page.

Encryption, ledger accounting, and session security — the same three things every custody claim on this site traces back to.

Custody, explained

Custodial vs. non-custodial wallets

Every crypto wallet — hardware, mobile app, or a platform like this one — makes the same underlying tradeoff: who holds the private key. Understanding it is the single most useful thing you can know before depositing anywhere.

Custodial wallets (what this is)

A third party — us, in this case — holds the private keys on your behalf. You authenticate with a password and session, not a seed phrase, and withdrawals go through a review process rather than being instant and irreversible by default.

  • No seed phrase to lose, write down, or have stolen from a photo or note.
  • A forgotten password is recoverable; a lost seed phrase never is.
  • Withdrawals depend on the custodian's uptime, solvency, and review process — not just your own signature.
Non-custodial (self-custody) wallets

Software (a browser extension, a mobile app) or hardware (a physical device) that generates and holds your private key directly. Nobody else can freeze, delay, or review a transaction you sign.

  • Full, immediate control — no third party can restrict your access.
  • You are the entire security perimeter — a lost or stolen seed phrase means permanent, unrecoverable loss, with nobody to appeal to.
  • Every transaction is final the moment you sign it — no review step to catch a mistyped address or a phishing attempt.

Neither model is universally "safer" — they trade different risks for different ones. This platform is custodial by design: the tradeoff we're making is a recoverable password and a reviewed withdrawal over an irreversible seed phrase and instant settlement. If you'd rather hold your own keys, a non-custodial wallet is the right tool, not this one.

How a deposit becomes available

The same lifecycle applies to every supported asset, tracked automatically from address derivation to availability.

1

Address derived

A unique deposit address is derived for the asset and network you select.

2

Funds arrive on-chain

The network confirms your transfer; the deposit shows as pending in your account.

3

Confirmations accrue

Each network's required confirmation count (shown per asset below) is tracked automatically.

4

Available in your account

Once confirmed, the balance moves from pending to available for use.

Assurance

Independent verification of controls, reserves, and financial protection.

Proof of reserves

No independent attestation exists yet.

Insurance

No coverage confirmed yet — see our Terms of Service, Section 15.

We'd rather show an honest "not yet" here than an invented certification. This section will be updated the moment any of the above is real.

Supported assets and network requirements

Backup your assets

Test the encrypted EVM wallet-migration flow with a synthetic wallet, or add any supported public address in read-only mode. Do not use a wallet holding real assets during this test phase.
